Rich raisins and gentle smoke lead the way to a delicious chocolaty centre. Many a whisky expert will announce that this is their favourite of the Bowmore range. A bit of a dark horse, the last few years spent finishing in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks dramatically change the character of this whisky.
Doft
Delicious dark chocolate, rich dark fruits and a hint of Islay smoke – warm glass to nose the full flavours
Smak
Palate: Rich treacle toffee and cedar wood Finish: Robust and warming with a hint of sherry tannin. Matured first in bourbon casks then the final years in Oloroso sherry casks.
