The name Auchentoshan, pronounced "Ock-Un-Tosh-Un", is from Gaelic and translates as "corner of the field". The distillery is located at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills on the outskirts of Clydebank in West Dunbartonshire near the Erskine Bridge. Founded in 1823, this Lowland whisky is one of only 6 distilleries in the region, showcasing the unique flavour of Glasgow.
To this day Auchentoshan is the only Single Malt in Scotland to triple distil every single last drop. Not because of tradition, but because that is what it takes to create a delicate flavour unlike any other.
